World Cancer Day takes place every year on 4 February and is the singular initiative under which the entire world can unite together in the fight against the global cancer epidemic.

Brussels, May 25 2011 - EWAC will run from 25 to 31 May each year. The aim of EWAC is to promote the European Code Against Cancer which provides an 11 point guide to cancer prevention focusing on the areas of healthy lifestyles and screening.

The 1st International Conference on Skin Cancer Prevention to be held in Copenhagen 2nd-5th May.

The 5th Cervical Cancer Prevention week will take place from 23rd January to 29th January 2011.

On Saturday 5 February 2011 the inaugural World Cancer Gala took place in Geneva, Switzerland as an important fundraising event for UICC.

In March 2011 Breakthrough will host its first international conference on Triple Negative Breast Cancer.

Cervical Cancer Action, of which UICC is part of the Governing Council, is hosting a series of global webinars in October to bring the latest information and experience in global cervical cancer prevention to our members and friends.

The re-established MEPs Against Cancer (MAC II) group is proud to be inviting MEPs, national health attachés, parliamentary and commission officials and other policy makers to an event on Wednesday 29 September.
